Soft Coral

Soft corals are characterized by the absence of a stony skeleton typical in other types of coral.  They are quite hardy as they can grow at various rates dependent on the species but add flow and texture to the aquarium.  Many soft corals will serve as a substitute for an anemone if clownfish are present.
